Room rates and amenities

Castle Kiahuna Plantation and Beach Bungalows houses condominium-type units. Guests can choose from one-bedroom/one-bathroom or two-bedroom/two-bathroom rooms, or they can go for all-out luxury with the beachfront suites. The two-bed/two-bath suites are all split-level and furnished with a fully-equipped kitchen.

Choose your room based on the view you want to enjoy during your stay. Garden View rooms (Deluxe or Paradise) surround guests with an array of tropical fruits, flowers, cacti, plumeria trees, hibiscus shrubs, and bougainvillea vines. Partial Ocean View rooms are just a few steps from the beach, while Ocean View rooms give guests a beautiful view of the blue horizon. At the Beachfront Alii Suite, expect nothing less than white sand to greet you at your doorway, and high-quality and unique furnishings to give each guest a different experience.

Each room is equipped with the following amenities: private lanai with table and chairs; full kitchen equipped with microwave, dish washer, coffee maker and blender; electronic key card; ceiling fan; in-room safe; hair dryer; shower/tub; iron/ironing board; clock/radio; color cable TV; and two-line phone with data port. Ocean View and Beachfront units have upgraded amenities such as enhanced maid service, daily newspaper and Kauai coffee, and robe and slippers. Non-smoking units are available.

Complimentary parking is available to all guests at Castle Kiahuna Plantation and Beach Bungalows. High-speed Internet access for traveling businessmen is also available. Long-staying guests can do their laundry at the coin-operated laundromat. For dining options, guests can visit the Plantation Garden Restaurant within the resort, which is open for dinner and cocktails. The Poipu Beach area is also littered with many dining establishments.

Activities

Half a mile away from the resort are the Moir gardens, which are filled with shaped cacti, 70-year-old orchids, ancient Hawaiian lava-rock walls, and artifacts like a grinding stone from Hawaii's first sugar mill, and a whaler's melting pot converted into a water-lily planter.

Guests can also visit sites like the Kauai Coffee Company, Hawaii’s largest coffee plantation, the Waimea Canyon, and the Sprouting Horn, where surf and lava meet.
