Outrigger Lae Nani

The Outrigger Lae Nani is a resort found in the middle of pretty gardens, coconut trees, and the Pacific Ocean. It is located along Papaloa Road in Kapaa in the island of Kauai in Hawaii. The resort has 84 available rooms situated in five wood buildings that are three stories high. It has a gigantic beach front swimming pool that is surrounded by a wide sunning lawn and a broad sun deck. The sun deck is littered with dining chairs and tables and there are barbecue grills near the swimming pool.

Resort features

The resort offers a protected swimming cove that has been specially designed for children. The beach area is suitable for bathing in the sun but there are various water activities to choose from, including snorkeling, paddle-surfing, windsurfing, and kayaking.

Other notable features of the resort include free newspapers in the lobby, laundry facilities, free parking, babysitting services, a non-smoking property, manicured lawns, the fact that it is close to the Coconut Marketplace with its shops and casual restaurants, the presence of championship golf courses in the neighborhood such as the Wailua Golf Course, the Island Explorer Program for children, laundry services, dry cleaning services, and the fact that access to the second and third floors is through the staircases because there is no elevator.

The Island Explorer Program has been specifically designed to encourage the children and their parents to discover the natural environment of Hawaii. The program teaches the children and their parents how to observe the various native birds, insects, and plants, including the unique reef fish, without causing damage to the ecology. They will also learn how to check surf conditions and tide changes, wind directions, and interpret various cloud formations.
