Castle Poipu Shores, A Condominium Resort
The Castle Poipu Shores at Pe'e Road in Poipu in the island of Kauai in Hawaii is an oceanfront condominium resort that sits atop a bluff and it is only one mile from the Poipu Shopping Village that stages Polynesian dance and music shows for free. The key features of this resort are the peaceful ambiance and the fact that it is right next to the Pacific Ocean so that you may be able to actually count the whales when they migrate during the winter season.
This condominium resort has 39 available suites that are found in three white buildings with stucco facades. A key feature is the swimming pool right next to the ocean. There is a party room that overlooks this pool and it has counters for food preparation, a soft drink machine, two dining sets, and a sink. Right behind this building are barbecue grills and a picnic area. Internet access is available in the public areas at no extra cost.
There are two popular beaches that are close to this property and one is the Shipwreck Beach, which is located towards the east. You may enjoy some beach walking and surfing in this particular beach. To the west of the property is the popular Poipu Beach, which is shaped like the letter S. The water is calm at the lower loop of this beach because of a man-made reef but the upper loop is ideal for boogie boarding and surfing. Other features include a patio, free parking, complimentary newspapers, babysitting services, picnic area, and barbecue grills.
Possible recreational activities within area include: swimming; tennis; golf; volleyball; kayaking; fishing; sailing; snorkeling; boating; horseback riding; hiking; biking; rafting; sightseeing via helicopter or airplane; skydiving; boogie boarding; parasailing; and surfing.
This condominium resort is unique from other properties in Kauai because all of its suites are facing the Pacific Ocean. Thus, you may be able to see the ocean from all of the units including from the balconies and patios. Decorations for the rooms may vary but all are island style. To preserve the tropical ambiance, ceiling fans and natural breezes are used to cool the rooms instead of air conditioning.
Other room features include cable or satellite television; free Internet access; coffee maker; videocassette recorder; kitchen; cookware, utensils and dishes; refrigerator; microwave oven; ceiling fan; hair dryer; crib when requested; balcony; clock radio; ironing board and iron; and in-room safe.
