Nestled in the heart of Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort and Spa is the Grand Waikikian By Hilton Grand Vacations Club, a luxurious, 38-story hotel complete with the comforts of a condominium unit.

Opened last December 2008, the Grand Waikikian features 331 one- and two-bedroom units, all fully furnished with kitchens and separate living and dining areas. It has an oceanfront location, which is perfect for families, honeymooners, or friends wanting to explore Hawaiian culture.

Room rates and amenities

The all-suite hotel provides fully equipped kitchens and separate living and dining areas for all rooms. The two-bedroom suites have fully equipped kitchenettes in the second bedroom. All suites each have a soaking tub and separate shower, a washer and dryer, flat screen TVs (two for the one-bedroom suite and three for the two-bedroom) and a balcony. The second room in two-bedroom suites also has a shower.

Rates for one-bedroom suites range from $349 to $769, while two-bedroom suites range from $469 to $1,259. All suites are non-smoking.

Services

Covered parking and 24-hour valet services are available to guests of the hotel for a minimal rate. For business needs, fax machines and printers may be used by guests, also for a minimal fee.

Guests can take a dip into any of the four swimming pools at Grand Waikikian, including a “super pool” with a “lazy river” theme. A fitness center is also available to guests, as well the Mandara Spa, which incorporates Hawaiian, Asian and Western spa treatments for ultimate rejuvenation.

Other features

The Hilton Hawaiian Village surrounding the Grand Waikikian is brimming with activities for guests to enjoy. Parades, fireworks and shows that feature traditional Hawaiian culture immerse tourists in the local scenery. Gardens can be a place for relaxation, while guests looking for action can head for the beach and try different water sports such as kayaking, aquacycling, snorkeling, and surfing.

Guests can also take their marine adventure to the next level by riding in one of the Atlas submarines, which will take them on an up-close and personal undersea tour. Atlas submarines depart from Hilton Hawaiian Village. Lessons on different Polynesian arts, such as dancing, lei-making, and playing the ukelele, are offered exclusively to guests at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

Dining is also no problem for guests at the Grand Waikikian. The Hilton Hawaiian Village has a variety of dining choices, which serve cuisine from all over the world. Try Bali by the Sea for an elegant Oceanside dinner, or Rainbow Lanai for a more casual, beachside ambiance. There are also Japanese restaurants such as Hanajuban, Benihana and Hatsuhana, while Sergio’s and Round Table Pizza serve delectable Italian cuisine.

If that isn’t enough, guests can also visit nearby sites. 2100 Kalakua Avenue carries some of the most luxurious names in shopping, such as Tiffany, Coach, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Gucci and Bottega Venetta. Fort DeRussy Park is just a short walk away and has a military recreation area and an American Army museum. There’s also the Ala Moana Center, one of the world’s largest outdoor shopping malls.
