Room rates and amenities

Guests have an array of choices from the resort’s 369 one- and two-bedroom suites, with partial ocean and ocean views. All rooms come with complimentary cooked-to-order daily breakfast and a nightly “Manager’s Reception” (for those of legal drinking age, according to state laws). Non-smoking rooms are also available. For one-bedroom suites, rates start at $399, and $549 for two bedroom suites.

Rooms are each equipped with a wet bar, microwave and refrigerator. Local and long-distance calls in the US and Canada are complimentary, as well as high-speed Internet access and daily newspapers. Flat screen TVs are hooked up with premium cable channels, pay movies, and video games.

Services

A cooked-to-order breakfast is served daily from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. Those with important activities for the day can request for a wake-up call to help them get out of bed.

The Grand Lanai at the fourth floor has a heated swimming pool, specially made in Italy. There is also a children’s pool adjacent to the main pool. An oversized whirlpool spa also features Italian tile work and pampers guests with its relaxing waters.

Guests with daily exercise programs will find the 24-hour Fitness Center complete with all their training and workout needs. Cardio machines, stretching mats, yoga balls and weights are all free for guests to use.

Those bringing work with them can avail of the high-speed Internet at the resort’s public areas. There’s also the 24-hour business center, which offers free Internet access and printing of documents.

Embassy Suites Hotel-Waikiki Beach Walk also offers venues for meetings, conventions and conferences. An accommodation of 1,600 square feet can house up to 100 participants, and has the latest in audio technology for any presentation needs. Guests can choose from classroom, conference or banquet-style setup.

Activities and other features

Waikiki Beach Walk has eight acres of dining, entertainment and shopping establishments surrounding the embassy suites.

For dining, there’s the Roy Waikiki restaurant, which serves fresh Hawaiian food; the upscale Yard House which is known for its large selection of draft beer; Kaiwa Waikiki, a Tokyo-based, teppan fusion restaurant; and Ruth’s Chris Steak House.

If you’re looking for some genuine Hawaiian entertainment, watch out for the Na Mele No Na Pua, the music heritage program of Waikiki Beach Walk. They hold bimonthly and weekly shows that have become a regular treat both for locals and tourists.

At the hotel, the Grand Lanai pays host every night to the Manager’s Reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Cocktails and snacks are served while live Hawaiian entertainment is showcased, all by the poolside. The Grand Lanai also has great views of the city.
