Aloha Tower Marketplace

The Aloha Tower Marketplace is an iconic destination that has graced the Honolulu Harbor and welcomed locals, visitors and cruise ship passengers for many years. Once a bustling center for retail stores, coffee shops, hair salons, restaurants and a vibrant nightlife, the Aloha Tower Marketplace has become a quiet, ghostly version of its glory days, with only a few stores and restaurants remaining.

Just a few minutes west of Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, the harbor is known for its amazing waterfront views and sunsets, as well as the location for guests boarding dinner cruises. Passenger cruise ships and container ships are also docked nearby, as the building still serves as the harbor master's control center.

Built in 1926, The Aloha Tower Marketplace was once the tallest building on Hawaii with spectacular views of Honolulu from the 10th Floor Observation Deck, which is still open and free to the public daily from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm and accessible via a vintage elevator. This is not only a well-loved landmark, it is considered the most important building in the state and is listed on the state's historic landmark register as second only to Diamond Head.

The project also includes ground floor retail and dining establishments for university and public use, as well as a multi-purpose use of Pier 10 for public gatherings, performances, lectures and activities that will benefit the community as a whole. This scenic setting has set the stage for many fond memories for decades and the goal is to create new memories for the future.
