Aloha Stadium Swap Meet And Marketplace

A casual and fun way to enjoy a truly local Hawaiian experience is to spend time browsing the flea market or a swap meet. The Aloha Stadium Swap Meet And Marketplace is located on Oahu in the Aloha Stadium, about 20 minutes from downtown Honolulu. A large, outdoor sports arena, the Aloha Stadium is home to the University of Hawaii Warriors football team and the annual NFL Pro Bowl, as well as the location for car show, concerts, soccer games and many other events throughout the year.

But on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm each week, the stadium becomes a marketplace and swap meet where approximately 400 vendors come together to display their wares in the spirit of aloha to residents and visitors of the Hawaiian Islands. Merchants include craftsman, farmers, artists and retail, so you'll find everything from hand-carved wood, leis, coffee, professional photography, jewelry, jams, soaps, toys, t-shirts, trinkets and plenty of fresh pineapple, mango and papaya. And this is just a tiny sample!.

Vendors come from around the world, so the Aloha Swap Meet has an international feel that makes it an extraordinary marketplace with unique merchandise and endless bargains. There are several concession stands throughout the stadium offering everything from shaved ice to fresh fruit, so you can quench your thirst, grab a meal or just sit a spell. It's also the place for souvenirs, so visitors will often buy a piece of luggage and fill it with goodies to take back home.

There's plenty of parking and the entrance fees are only $1. Children under 11 are free. A couple of tips: bring sunscreen and water as you'll be outside walking in the sun and be sure to write down the letter of the section where you park your vehicle.
