Both Golf Magazine and Golf Digest have rated Wailea Golf Resort on Maui as one of the best golf courses in the country. Quality courses, luxurious accommodations, and the scenic backdrop of Maui’s stunning coastline, all infused with the spirit of aloha. Play in one of three distinct courses, Emerald, Blue and Gold, each carrying its own unique design and playstyle.

Wailea Emerald Course

The 18 hole Wailea Emerald Course is 6,825 yards of vibrant green fairway, foliage and fun. This course was designed with the whole family in mind, with four to six tee boxes at every hole to accommodate players of all levels. Golf for Women Magazine has given the course the Top Fairways Award seven times for being the country’s most women friendly golf club. This course is ideal for golfers who prefer to play the sport for leisure rather than as a competitive test of perseverance. That doesn’t mean that the Wailea Emerald Course is without its challenges—holes 10 and 17 border a 2.7 million gallon water hazard. This beautiful lake makes for one of the best photo opportunities at the Wailea Golf Resort.

Wailea Blue Course

The Wailea Blue, also known as the “Grand Lady of Wailea,” was designed by the renowned golf course architect Arthur Jack Snyder. The Wailea Resort’s original golf course is a Hawaiian classic that takes advantage of its location at the foothills of Haleakala to offer stunning views of Mt. Haleakala, the West Maui Mountains and Ma’alaea Bay. The Grand Lady truly offers the best sights at the resort—on a clear day you spot neighboring islands and from certain holes like number 12, you might even catch a glimpse of a pod of whales.

Wailea Gold Course

The 7,078 yard Wailea Gold played host to The Champions Skins Game from 2001 to 2007. Receiving accolades of praise from Golf Magazine, Golf Digest, Golfweek, Gayot and Zagot, this course was designed by architect Robert Trent Jone II, and requires a keen mind to navigate the terrain’s natural twists and turns. Tee off at hole number 8, to an epic ocean vista and the tiny crescent shaped islet of Molokini, a popular snorkeling spot. You’ll use every club in your bag as you tackle this strategic course.
