Resting at the heart of Turtle Bay, and flanked by the world renowned surfing beaches of Pipeline and Sunset Beach, the Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore of Oahu features two classic Hawaiian golf courses, the Fazio Course and the Palmer Course.

George Fazio Course

George Fazio designed the Fazio Course at Turtle Bay in the 1970s, a design that continues to consistently rank in Golf Digest’s Top 100 golf courses in America. If you’re looking for a relaxing, low key recreational game of golf on a sunny Hawaiian afternoon, this is the course for you. While the Fazio course is the more forgiving of the two, don’t underestimate its 6,769 yards of sloping fairways, elevated greens and tricky holes. A major perk of the Fazio Course is that you can forgo the golf cart, it’s actually one of the most enjoyable courses to walk and soak in the island views.

Fazio’s Famous Par 3 11th Hole

Palm trees, beaches, crashing waves and vibrant green fairways—what’s not to love in this stunning par 3 at Fazio’s 11th hole. Don’t get too distracted by the picture perfect views, this 166 yard par 3 green is guarded by two incline bunkers.

496 Yard Par 5 17th Hole

This deceptively simple straight shoot to the green is lined on both sides by palm trees and foliage. Your final procession faces a tricky hidden bunker to the right of the green that’s invisible from the fairway. At the end you’re rewarded with a tranquil oasis lined with palm trees.

Arnold Palmer Course

Designed by golfing legend Arnold Palmer, the Palmer Course is widely considered to be the best golf course on Oahu, and consistently ranks among the best in the islands. The course has played host to the Inaugural Champions Tour Skins Game, the Champions Tour’s Turtle Bay Championship, and the LPGA Tour’s SBS Open among other professional tournaments. Golf alongside natural wetlands and Hawaiian jungle as you brave your way across 7,218 acres of course to an oceanic climax with Oahu’s Turtle Bay.

543 Yard Par 5 Hole 3

You read that right; the Arnold Palmer Course earns its challenging reputation by assaulting you early in the course with a 543 yard par 5. You’ll have to battle the wind while avoiding the lake that flanks your left side through most of the hole.

Stunning Oceanic View to a 577 Yard Finish

The 462 yard par 4 17th hole pits you in an uphill battle against 9 sandy bunkers up to the green. While you can’t see the ocean from most of the Palmer Course, your efforts will finally be rewarded with this postcard perfect view of the bay at the 17th hole. Then you must brave the longest hole on the course, a 577 yard marathon to the 18th’s signature lake.
