Seclusion is the ultimate ambience at the Sheraton Kauai Resort. Its four-story buildings, which house 394 rooms, including 8 suites, are no taller than a mature coconut tree. Located along the Poipu Beach, the resort spans a total area of 20 acres.

Room rates and amenities

Guests can choose their rooms depending on the view they want to have. In total, there are three buildings with different views: the Garden Wing, Ocean Wing, and Beach Wing.

Sheraton Kauai also offers a Free Car Special. Guests can choose from either the Garden View or Deluxe Ocean Front rooms and can rent a vehicle that’s suited for their needs from Dollar Rent A Car.

Rates may vary depending on the season of booking. Ocean Wing rooms are ideal for big groups of families or friends, as they share a common entry. Guests can choose between king-size or two double beds. Complimentary cribs are available upon request, and rollaway beds are provided at an extra $50 per night.

Room amenities are as follows: wireless Internet access, cable/satellite TV, coffee/tea maker, bathrobes and complimentary toiletries, air conditioning, balcony, hair dryer, voice mail, video-game console, pay movies, clock radio, in-room safe, iron/ironing board, refrigerator and patio.

In addition, Sheraton Kauai boasts of having the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed, which has a custom-designed, extra-thick, plush-top mattress. Each mattress is dressed with three sheets, fleece blankets, plump duvet, and five goose down/feather pillows for extra comfort.

Services

Room service, complete with daily maid service, is available. Valet parking for guests with cars is also offered at the Sheraton Kauai. Guests can also avail of dry cleaning, laundry, and babysitting services. For those who want to relax and rejuvenate, a massage and skin center and a beauty salon are also in the resort. A fitness center is available for those who want a daily workout regimen.

Activities

Recreation is no problem at the Sheraton Kauai. There are three tennis courts and two golf courses, two pools and a whirlpool at the resort, and water sports such as boating, kayaking, sailing, snorkeling, surfing/boogie boarding, and parasailing are also available. The more adventurous can go skydiving, while others can relax by swimming in the pristine waters or just lying on the sand.

For those who want to explore the land, mountain hiking trails are also available, as well as horse riding/rental. For educational endeavors, guests can visit the Hawaiian Cultural Center or the Keiki Aloha Kauai for kids.

Dining sites are also available at the resort. There’s the Naniwa Japanese Restaurant and Sushi Bar, Shells Steak and Seafood Restaurant, Oasis Bar and Grill, and The Point.
